Backpacking Equipment List

There is a balancing act between weight & comfort.

Day time equipment

This is all your day time gear, it needs to be kept handy and accessible.

Safety Equipment

Map, compass, mobile phone map app, Satellite emergency messenger. Shelters.

Camping equipment

Pack the tent/shelter near the top of the rucksack, you want that out and erected, before you remove everything else. Keep your gear dry.

Food & Water.

It is so important to keep yourself hydrated and eat sufficient calories to fuel your journey.

Again there is a balancing act of weight & calories.
